“… After the C G Wrangel grooms school in Jönköping was closed down in 1884 a school founded in Gothenburg, with the name of Gothenburg Grooms School.
Teaching at the Gothenburg Horse Nurse School was conducted in terms of six months starting on 1 May and 1 November. Ratings given in subjects

According driver Carl Johan Persson was considered the school in Gothenburg to be the finest in Sweden at the time.
Driving School in Gothenburg was started on the initiative of the Consul General Adolf Bratt. From the start was also James F. Dickson.
Gothenburg driving school operated until 1896, when it was closed and a new school was founded with the name of Gothenburg Horse Groom School. Gothenburg Horse Carriage Driving School as Gothenburg Horse Groom School was combined with the operation of Gothenburg Riding Club, which was considered to be advantageous, since the courses could be complementary. ”
